As far as I can tell, Bijan's Texas visit is making some people very nervous just as Jaylan Knighton's visit to FSU's recruiting event means he's a 100% lock for Florida State. I don't think anyone knows for sure, the "experts" appear to be filling information gaps about what this news means with their experience.

Were I the HC, I wouldn't want any assistants divulging any information about what recruits may have said to them to anyone outside the program.
I would probably make that fireable.

Quote:Hehe. Ya gotta pay the Buddha on the hill to find out.
In some cases...
Day after day
Alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning 'round
Well on the way
Head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud
The America, and the American Military, that you once knew is gone.

I think sports fans are overly enamored with polls, especially recruiting rankings. If your team fills needs with good players it's probably better than stocking 5 stars where you had less of a need (not that you can't use every 5 star you can get). But whether your team is at 2-3-4-5-6 on the 247 site is probably not very important. Some teams may sign say 5 star QBs and watch them leave because of PT issues. They might go to say Ohio State and Washington and do nothing for their recruiting numbers.
I mentioned before that OSU is almost never going to be out of the top ten in the metrics. The coaches hopefully know what they need, if not, there are deeper issues than being #2 or #3. Of course, it can be obvious that a team has holes at LB or OL, so when your team gets a top commit where there are some obvious holes, that's great.

I know he's been a recruit, but 2nd year we got a 5* WR out of Texas. Herman must be going nuts.
