SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA — Prospect X runs over the four bags lying on the field, stepping lightly to show off his footwork. He trips on the last bag as he turns to run upfield, an uncharacteristic miscue. He shakes his head and wipes a layer of sweat off his brow as he walks back to the first bag to restart. “I can tell youâ€re nervous,†barks one of the two NFL offensive line coaches running this private workout. “Thatâ€s normal, but itâ€s just us hanging out. Take a deep breath.â€
Itâ€s a little after 9 a.m. on a sunny April morning... two coaches, a scout, a reporter and PROSPECT X, [are] at this tiny college stadium. As a small-school product who wasnâ€t invited to an all-star game or the combine... X believes he can play in the NFL... watched the offensive line combine workouts from his couch. He was glued to the TV, and when he saw their 40 times his frustration turned into excitement. Heâ€d been training a faster 40 time than any of the combine offensive linemen.
X worked out at two different pro days, a bigger school nearby and his own. After seeing the results of Xâ€s first pro day, one scout gave this review, “He blew it up.†That scout gave him a fifth-round grade in his report for his team. Another scout in attendance, who had previously told X that his team wasnâ€t interested in drafting him but wanted to sign him as a priority free agent, wasnâ€t pleased with the attention X was attracting from other teams after his workout.

The Cleveland Browns surprised the average draft viewer Saturday when they spent a sixth-round pick on an offensive lineman of whom most had never heard. Turns out, they also selected the draft's "most overlooked prospect," according to Sports Illustrated.
That same unknown element of the selection came to light Tuesday, when SI revealed the identity of Prospect X, the player the magazine believed was "the draft's best-kept secret." Who is Prospect X?

Cellphone video obtained by TMZ shows suspended Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt being questioned by Cleveland police officers outside a downtown Cleveland bar.
Hunt was not arrested and Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said no police report, body camera video or other documentation exists related to any incident involving Hunt.
The incident happened sometime late Saturday outside the Barley House on West 6th Street.

Why do these multi millionaires go to clubs like this? Have a shindig at your own joint. I'm sure there'd be plenty of women willing to give it up once they $ee who you are. Something sideways goes down it's your house. You are in control. Why risk a confrontation in a club where you could likely kick the ass off 99% of the people in there and then be sued, suspended, etc...? Dumb.

They should be interesting this season I think, but I don't watch much NFL ball. The wife grants me Saturday and I give back Sunday.
