I think it depends on whether or not they nominate Biden. He can skirt them rather easily, unless he is still Biden his time between major gaffes.

Individual donations to specific candidates is already limited severely by election laws. That pledge is a nothing. Corporations other than labor unions typically donate little or nothing anyway, some casino owner is usually on the top 15 list somewhere. The rest are mostly unions.
The PACs and Super Pacs are where the Big Money goes, not to individual candidates.
