Lol....no. It's not apples/oranges.  This guy offers wedding videos as a service.  Just not if both participants are gay (gay could be replaced with black, Jewish, young) It's fine.  Everyone has their causes that they rationalize bad behavior for.  I don't judge.

I don't get why you refuse to follow.  Gays can't get married because it's impossible for them to be married.  The guy takes videos of actual weddings.  Black people, white people, brown people, yellow people, red people, etc...  He does WEDDING videos.  A marriage involves a male and a female.  It's been this way since the dawn of time.

The bad behavior here is compelling someone to offer a service they don't offer.

As for SCOTUS, what did they really decide on this?  Didn't they just kick it back to the states?  Either way, I wouldn't give a damn what they decided.  5 clowns in a robe could confer humanity on a house plant, but that doesn't make it so.

Gays are getting married Every. Single. Day.  One guy's opinion does not change that.  In fact, christian churches across the country are performing weddings for same-sex couples Every. Single. Day.  Your book/beliefs does not change that.

Either you offer wedding videos or you don't.

Maybe this guy should move to Afghanistan.  He'd fit in great there!

So say a guy was in the business long before a handful of SJW SCOTUS justices decided a house plant was a human and that two dudes could get married.  You just moved the goal posts on a guy that filmed actual weddings for a living for who knows how long.

A gay relationship is simply a gay relationship.  It's not a marriage and could never be a marriage.  EONS of humanity knows this basic truth.  He does *wedding* videos, not freak shows.    He doesn't offer that product.  Got a problem with it?  Then go to a different videographer that will do anything for money.  This isn't hard.

Traditional weddings and gay weddings are two different things.

You should be able to sell a traditional wedding cake without having to put a gay wedding cake on the menu as well. ( No, the cakes themselves are not gay)

I know, ya gotta include that disclaimer for all the snappy, smarmy types that bring that up like clock work.  [Image: Em_rolleyes.gif]

Anyway, this is America.  Do I demand a Muslim deli serve me pork?  Where does this end?  1st amendment/freedom of speech and religion.  This shouldn't be hard to figure out why the videographer is in the right.  Apparently at least one judge agrees.

Ha ha....spoken like a true bigot.  Lots of people (mostly religious) are having a hard time with not discriminating against gays, just like lots of racists probably hated when they had to serve black people or when black kids were suddenly in their white kids' schools.

So, what exactly is a cake for a gay wedding?  Maybe you can describe it physically.

No, and i would never support forcing a videogropher to do wedding videos.

dude can run his business anyway he sees fit. if he makes bad business decisions then he goes out of business.
every day in this country private contractors turn down business the vast majority has nothing to do with Race or Religion.
As long as he doesn't advertise i'm a wedding video photographer but i don't video tape Blacks , Jews , Catholics , Asians ect. then in this Free Country he can choose the work he decides to take on.
Maybe the " Couple" should have just put a advertisement on FB or the local paper spelling out exactly the type of marriage needed to be video taped and then compared quotes from those interested and moved on from there.
I'm sure they would have gotten ample interest especially advertising amongst their friends or in papers sympathetic to their beliefs.

Since a person that sells traditional wedding cakes is allowed to refuse to sell Klan wedding cakes and polygamous wedding cakes based on moral grounds, they should also be allowed to refuse to sell gay wedding cakes or interracial wedding cakes based on moral grounds. That's how equality works. Equality isn't granting special rights to Democrats that aren't available to everyone else.

If you want to force everyone to sell any type of offensive wedding cake that anyone can concoct, fine. But so long as you are allowed to refuse to sell some wedding cakes, you should also be allowed to refuse to sell the others.

And yes, if a couple of light loafers want to open up a shop in the Short North or Gerbil Village that only sells gay wedding cakes, then they should be allowed to do that as well.

I agree.  Either we decide, as a country, that we're going to allow discrimination and bigotry by business owners or we aren't.  I would like to believe, in this day and age of social media, that these people would be naturally weeded out.  But, if we are going to have discrimination laws, it can't be "we're going to outlaw discrimination EXCEPT  for things that really bother religious people."

This is unreal.  Would you classify pork as something that would bother religious (Muslim) people?  Should they be forced to serve it?  This is ridiculous.

What you consider bigotry has been considered common sense since the dawn of civilization.

This isnâ€t bigotry on the part of the videographer; this is, or was, an attack on his first amendment rights.  The judge (or judges.  I forget which) apparently agrees.

I would not force a Muslim restaurant to serve pork nor would I force a Christian videographer to film weddings. There are plenty of other things they can film.

I'll leave you and the rest of the Jesus pow-wow to your rationalizations.  I'm not going to get anywhere here.
