Programs going with the "athletic duel threat" quarterback who makes a ton of mistakes and who can't throw accurate passes is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.  It is as if they are trying to make a statement that blacks can be great quarterbacks even if it kills the team.  Mullen will recruit a smarter QB who can make decisions and pass more accurately.

D Haskins was arguably the greatest pro style QB weâ€ve ever had at OSU.  The only reason I even say arguably is because we only had him for a year of starts.  Otherwise? Probably a slam dunk

Saying Haskins is probably the slam dunk best pro style QB weâ€ve ever had.  The only quibble being the smaller sample size.  So you could *argue* a Schlichter, Germaine or a Troy Smith, but Iâ€d still roll with Haskins.

And I am not saying there were never any great black pro style quarterbacks.  But the fact remains, a lot of programs have ditched the traditional pro style offense with a good smart passer and instead now use a black quarterback who is more of a great runner than a great passing quarterback for things like the "read option".  That is one reason we see so many mistakes and mediocre passing.  Saban was doing that but finally ditched it last season for a more traditional passer to try and keep up with Clemson.
