We had one happen here recently at the beach. It injured 8 people, dude it hit directly had a heart attack.

When I was a kid one struck outside my window. the bolt was like ten feet wide and bright as hell, and the thunder was instantaneous and deafening.
My video game froze up, and for just a second I thought I had died, and that I was going to be stuck in that particular moment for all eternity.
