I had no idea... For first-time, full-time undergraduates who started in 2007, 59 percent graduated within six years, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. At 72 historically black colleges, however, the average six-year graduation was 36 percent for full-time, first-time students who started school in fall of 2008, according to U.S. News data.  https://www.usnews.com/education/best-co...tion-rates

To this stupid ho, all I can say is that I love my black Buckeye brothers and she can stuff it. I had a friend who played football for Alabama A&M and he said the academics were rather subpar.

One of my roommates played football at Virginia Union. He told me the same thing. Unfortunately, he was asked to leave the football team his junior year. Seems the dudes from Richmond did not like the dudes from elsewhere playing with their girls. He ended up finishing his degree at American U.

FWIW I'm lumping anyone South of the Mason Dixon and/or part of the old Confederacy as "South"

So Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, etc are "in the South" for this particular exercise.

Central state is an offshoot of Wilberforce U., One of the OG's of black colleges.

Wilberforce University claims to be the first HBCU. A childhood friend attended WU. He played football. He's Peurto Rican. I think Bill Cosby wore a Wilberforce University sweatshirt on an episode of Cosby.

An easy way to remember it is the IHOP Waffle House line. North of Delaware is IHOP country anything South is Waffle House. 

Note: Huddle House is an offshoot of Waffle House.

I had assumed, perhaps erroneously, that they were somewhat connected.
