2019 Ohio State Buckeye Football Season...
This guy says the Buckeyes are the best team in the country. Part of me makes me wonder what his angle is.

Bama has shown some weaknesses on D.  Clemson has looked mediocre at times.  OU has the usual issues on D.

I have not yet seen a weakness for Ohio State.  Maybe Nebraska is a worse than average team, dunno.  But OSU has not shown a weakness.

Everyone else has the odd spot here or there.

The most important win in college football so far this year was Justin Fields†waiver request.

It might be up there, but I think UGA's win vs ND on the field is the best win thus far.

Close ..But LSU over Texas for me...Burrows been looking awfully Good..

UGA was a 2 TD favorite and won by 6, at home, in front of a lively crowd that probably caused ND some penalties.  ND does remain the only top ten ranked team with a loss, so there is that.

LSU won at Texas.  Texas is ranked 11/12 versus 9/10 for ND.

Wisconsin's win over UM stands out also, to me.

A&M is starting to look like a pretender.

ND beats TX in that game. I like LSU with Burrow but its defense is not as strong as it used to be. Lsu will be out of the equation once it plays Bama on the road. That TX win will look mediocre if OU lays 50 on TX twice.

It is the 2nd best win thus far.

I like Burrow and I think he gets selected in the NFL draft. Hard work paying off for him.

A&M is overrated as usual. Arky should have won that game.

ND is running the table and will finish in the top 8. Will a 1 loss ND make the playoff? Probably not. This ND team is better than last years. The defense actually is its strong unit.

TX probably loses 2x to OU. I think OU puts up 50+ on TX.

Lsu has to play AU/FL at home and Bama on the road. If it's legit it will beat 2 of the 3. If one of the wins is Bama it will be a playoff contender with one loss.

aTm is a 7-5 team. Hopefully one of the 7 is an SEC challenger. They are no better than Nebraska, yet they are trumpeted as a really good team.

Auburn is overrated, but has 2 solid wins. Surprised MSU got to their defense like they did.

Florida is overrated, period.

Georgia....Kirby doesn't impress me in any area other than recruiting. He's nailing it there. That will cover a multitude of coaching mistakes.

Alabama reminds me of OSU 2018. Their defense was on the field for 80+ plays against Ole Miss, South Carolina also nicked them fairly well(better than a SC team SHOULD). Their running game is mediocre at this point. At some point if Saban doesn't get that squared away, it will cost them.

I'm not sold on Auburn year after year and this is no different.  I'm usually right, but not always.

They can be good for an upset and I hope they beat Florida.  That could be a good game.

I think AU Florida will be a good game....looking forward to it

This is why I think UGA finally beats Bama.

AU has a strong d and is running the ball very well. I see Bo Nix as the weak link. In a year or two, he might be Shea Patterson good.

FL is the 'unknown' to me. Yes, it has a solid d but no running game and a backup qb running the show. We'll find out about AU and FL soon enough.

Cooper on surgery, rehab, returning to action
ByDAVE BIDDLE 4 hours ago

You want to talk about a whirlwind? Less than a week after being selected as a captain -- which was one of his main personal goals -- Ohio State senior defensive end Jonathon Cooper suffered an ankle injury in practice that would require surgery.

Cooper was downtrodden when he first learned the news. Then he quickly went to work so he could get back on the field as soon as possible.

Mission accomplished. He missed just four games and returned for the No. 4 Buckeyes' 48-7 win at Nebraska last Saturday.

"It was a process," Cooper said of recovering from the ailment. "I don't think people really understand when a player goes down with an injury, but it's hard. It's really hard physically and mentally as far as the rehab process. Especially getting hurt right before -- a week before -- my senior season starts and knowing this is my last year, it's been really tough and hard.

"So, it meant everything to me to be back out there. Being out there with my boys, that's all I really wanted to do. I just wanted to play with them. I worked extremely hard in rehab just to have a chance to go out there and do anything with them. It meant a lot."

Cooper then explained how he got hurt.

"It was on an inside drill play and I got rolled up on, on my ankle on the outside," he said. "It's crazy because I didn't even fall. I got hurt and I'm like limping off or whatever and I'm like, 'I'm good, I'm good.' Then I go see the doc and the doc is like, 'Yeah, you're going to need surgery.' So, it was a shocking moment for me. I called my family right after that and everything and let them know the news.

"My trainers and my family and my teammates, they've been really supportive of me and have been encouraging me along and just making sure I'm right every single day and staying included with the team and everything. Making sure I'm still that leader and that captain. So, yeah man."

Cooper had a type of surgery that he had never heard of before.

"I had a tightrope surgery around my ankle," he said. "They went and tied like a tightrope and pulled my bones back together, basically."

Cooper was asked if the goal all along was to come back for the contest against the Cornhuskers.

"No, not really," he said. "I actually wanted to come back a lot sooner, a lot earlier, but I physically couldn't. Every day was a test to see where I was at, every single day. But yeah, going into the week of Nebraska I was feeling really well, I was doing really well. Practiced a little bit, got some reps and was doing really well. And they were like, 'Hey man, you're cleared. You're good to go.' And that was another pretty emotional moment for me too."

Recruits might be more impressed with a close game and a lively environment than a blow out where folks sit on their hands.
