1. Alabama hosting Tennessee
2. Ohio State defeated Northwestern 52-3
3. Clemson at Louisville
4. Wisconsin at Illinois
    LSU at Mississippi State
Add Oregon @ Washington and also Az State @ Utah, all 4 teams ranked
Weather in Seattle will be trash today...I like u48 and Ducks -2.5 both
I was referring to teams in the Hightop top 4 ratings. We all know Pac 12 ain't real football anyway. Â

Ah yes, the super duper official unofficial HT rankings...my mistake
Can't argue with the record, particularly between Oregon/OSU. This is a pretty cool site, breaking down the 9 games our teams have played

I was actually a big USC fan growing up but the quality of the football on the West Coast now is just substandard. I think demographics and liberalism have a lot to do with that.

It's impossible to ignore the quality of Oregon under Chip Kelly. No, we didn't win a championship but were damn close several times. Hiring Helfrich set the program back a decade.
Cristobal is the real deal and Avalos as the new DC has Oregon playing defense like never before, though I'm not sure we'll be able to keep him more than a year or two. I'm not trying to pretend Oregon is back to a very elite level, but they're definitely headed in the right direction. Only time will tell...
In terms of recruiting, Oregon and Pac 12 is at a significant disadvantage purely based on the quality of HS football on west coast...I'm not sure liberalism has anything to do with that part. CA produces quite a few high level players and Oregon gets their fair share but it's not enough. The state of Oregon produces a tiny handful of D1 players each year, not enough to count on any given year.

Oregon had some high powered offenses under Kelly but still not enough defense and athleticism to compete against the better teams. As you say the recruiting base near Oregon is not good and California is not what it used to be. The Pac 12 used to be able to compete but that is not the case anymore. The South is where it's at and even the best midwest programs like Ohio State have started recruiting more in Florida.

Cristobal is the real deal in regards to playing with passion and emotion, but he needs to work on closing the deal in big games. The recent losses to Stanford (last year) and Auburn are just completely inexcusable.

I expected a loss to Auburn. They didn't lose because they were outcoached, they lost because they ran out of gas and made mental mistakes. That's no excuse, just the reality.
The Stanford loss was just awful.

Oregon has a very stingy defense. Only given up one td in last 4 games. I do not care who it played, that's solid.
Has OR played UT yet?
DC is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is basic voter stupidity and economic ignorance.

So outside of PSU/UM, what other game is worth turning on my television this afternoon? There was a time I couldn't wait to tune in 'bama/UT. Today, not so much
edit: to be clear, I literally mean this afternoon. I just assume the west coast games are on later tonight.

No, and not on the schedule this year. If Oregon wins today they'll likely meet in Pac 12 Championship game.
