What right does the United States have to tell another sovereign country what weapons they are allowed to posess, while the US posesses the same weapons?

Seriously? You don't actually understand some countries have proven to be too irresponsible and aggressive to possess weapons of mass destruction or is this just more trolling?Â
Did you ever figure why the government has the right to tell you which side of the road you have to drive on?

In the history of the world, how many countries have used anatomic / nuclear bomb on another country?

Did you ever figure out how the government has the right to force you to register your car with them or force you to get a license to drive your car?

That has zero to do with the issue today and your question unless you believe there is no difference between 1945 USA and today's Iran and North Korea. As morally confused as you seem to be, I guess that is possible.

Pitch, you're assigning legitimacy to illegitimate regimes with your "sovereignty" line.

Of course it has zero to do with the issue today... because it's a reality that doesn't support what you want to want to make "OK".

Why don't we allow violent criminals the right to legally own firearms?

The US's opinion of another regime is irrelevant. Iran is a sovereign country with a government that runs the country.

In our country, we have a justice system that determines punishment and rules. The US isn't the justice system for the world any more than they are the police of the world.

you are arguing against that justice system in the other thread, but using it here? Â Fascinating.

Like I said, you are morally confused and live in a theoretical world that is completely divorced from reality. So you wait until the country is destroyed in a nuclear attack and then say, gee maybe allowing Iran to have nukes wasn't such a good idea. Totally irresponsible.

Opinion? Do you consider their sovereignty legitimate? i.e. from the consent of the governed. Let's get real here.

Why do you tell your 8 year old what they can and can't do?
